Alyson Steel

Alyson is a graduate of the “Famed” HS of Performing Arts in NYC. She received her B.A. from Queens College while doing recurring work on soap operas and commercials. After graduating with an MFA in Dramaturgy from SUNY Stony Brook, she moved to Los Angeles and began doing extensive Voice Over work.

Alyson’s voice has a lot of range. She can go from teenager to 40-something in no time flat. She can do an uncanny Fran Drescher (“The Nanny”) and dialects such as: NY, British (RP), Italian, Puerto Rican, Irish, Scottish, French, and Light Southern. Her voice has been described as warm, sexy, smooth, hot, hip, sultry, raspy, professional, fun, girt next door, conversational, upbeat, and friendly.

Alyson can be heard on various national and regional campaigns for TV and Radio including Norms of SoCal, Sears, KMART, Walmart, Guitar Center, Pajamagram and hundreds of others.You can also hear her image Rick Dee’s Weekly Top 40, Flashback with Matt Pinfield and other shows and radio stations around the country and world.

Currently Alyson is the Voice of Norms, Pajamagram, Vermont Teddy Bear, Vermont Brownie, Outside TV and TVG Networks. She has done promos for “E”, Fox, ABC and Hallmark Channel and more. For 5 years in a row she was the live announcer of the Genesis Awards.

Alyson has narrated TV shows for the Style Network, “E” Network, TLC, the Food Network, and the DIY Network. Two of her favorites are Style Star and Home Made Simple.

Alyson is based in LA and enjoys working on-camera as much as possible, between her full time voice acting schedule and her busy days as a mom of twins. She is a practitioner of Ashtanga yoga and loves sweet “why bother” drinks from Coffee Bean and fancies herself as a Foodie.
